Sixth Sunday of Easter

Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church

The Weekly Newsletter

   Message from Pastor Mori

Dear RFUMC Family

Greetings in Christ!

Mother's Day is when we share with our mothers how they are amazing and how much we love and appreciate them.

For me, it seems hard to believe, but this is the second Mother's Day during the ongoing pandemic. I remember that all the mothers worldwide have truly been some of those on the "front line," of providing encouragement and support to their families.

We want to be sure that we take an extra special approach to Mother's Day this year! We here at Ravenswood Fellowship want to express our appreciation for our mothers and so during tour worship Jean and Kiyoko will lead our Mother's Day liturgy prayer and pray for the mothers, daughters, and sons of the world.

So might say that "it's just what a Mom does who loves her family," but we know that the hours of sacrifice and extra labor have been tiring. Yet, you do it because of your amazing love for those God has entrusted to your care.

The words "thank you" seem so small in light of all our moms have done, but we will do our best to make that "thank you" as special as possible.

Blessings in Christ,
Happy Mother's Day !!

                                   Hello from Jane Ogasawara

I visited Jane last Thursday. Because her facility shut-down to prevent the spread of COVID-19, I needed to change our plan several times. Finally, we met! I showed her the Ravenswood Fellowship Sunday worship video and several pictures. She was thrilled to see our members' faces and asked to me say hello. She is doing very well and still enjoys craft classes twice a week. I could not wait to meet her again!
                                           Happy Mother's Day Jane!
