Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church The Weekly Newsletter | | Message from Pastor Mori Dear Ravenswood Fellowship UMC family Greetings in Christ! I want to take this opportunity to invite you to our Father's Day / Graduation Sunday Service here at RFUMC on Sunday, June 20, at 10:30 AM. This past year and a half have been a tremendous challenge for all of us! As we have continued to navigate through the difficulties presented by a Global Pandemic, there are other issues as well. As we celebrate Father's Day, I want to share with you a prayer for fathers from a devotional book that I use: God In your wisdom and love you made all things Bless our father Let the example of his faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, his family My honor him always With a spirit of profound respect Grant this through Christ our Lord AMEN. The last thing, I want to invite you to celebrate Juneteenth which is now officially a federal holiday! Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, a Union General rode into Galveston, Texas to announce that the Civil War had ended, and enslaved Africans had been freed. The Anti-Racism task force team shared the information and events that celebrate the Juneteenth in UMC community. For more information, please click here for the flyer and file. See you all on this Sunday, In-person or Zoom Online! Blessings MORI | | Community Info & Links 12 Resources for Anti-Racist Discipleship - Week 5 BY ISRAEL ALVARAN Rev. Dr. Israel I.
