Message from Pastor Mori Dear RFUMC Family, When I googled "Chicago Pride Parade," it says "Chicago's Pride Parade is one of the largest, by attendance, in the world. This event is taken place outside and celebrates Equal Rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. Also known as the celebration of LGBTQ Rights." This year is the 51st annual Chicago Pride Parade. This is a remarkable year because this is first year that Ravenswood Fellowship will participate with The Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches. This year our theme is "Embracing All and Loving Boldly." I am very excited that we will be marching together. I believe change is possible through our faith and actions. The Pride parade has been sending a strong message of inclusiveness and it spreads the message of LGBTQ rights. This is about human rights and empowering each other. God created us in God's image, and we all are beloved Children of God. No one has to the right to oppress a person because of their sexual orientation and gender identity. And this Sunday at the Pride Sunday we will march and share God's love for everyone.I hope many of you will walk with us and celebrate our diversity. If you consider joining us it is not late, please let me know rfumcpastormori@gmail.com Let's Embrace Everyone and Love Boldly!! See you all on Sunday. Blessings MORI |
