Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church The Weekly Newsletter    Message from Pastor Mori Dear RFUMC Family  We warmly invite you to join us on Sunday, April 2nd at 10:30 AM  for a meaningful Palm Sunday worship experience! This special day marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus' triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, where he was greeted with palm branches and enthusiastic cheers. Palm Sunday is a special day in the Christian faith, as it symbolizes Jesus' arrival as the true King and Messiah, while also foreshadowing his ultimate sacrifice for our salvation. One of the most memorable parts of the service is the procession of palms. We invite everyone—young and not-so-young—to take a palm branch and wave it with joy as a symbol of our unity and praise for Jesus. We're particularly excited for the kids to participate and learn more about the meaning of Palm Sunday. After we've concluded the service, I encourage you to carry the joy and blessings of the day into your everyday life. Share the love and warmth of our church family with those you meet and let the Palm Sunday experience inspire spiritual growth in the days to come. This event is aimed at preparing a safe and clean environment for our upcoming Egg Hunt activities, and we would be thrilled to have your help! During this session, we will focus on simple gardening tasks such as tidying up the area, clearing pathways, and ensuring the space is welcoming and hazard-free for our Egg Hunt participants. We hope to see you on April 1st at 2:15 PM for a rewarding and enjoyable gardening experience. This is a fun-filled event for the whole family, and we welcome everyone from our community to participate. Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church The Weekly Newsletter    Message from Pastor Mori Dear RFUMC Family  As we approach Holy Week, we would like to invite you to join us for a special Holy Week Service. - Maundy Thursday worship service on April 06 at Anne's Haven (5629 W Irving Park Rd Chicago) at 7:00 pm. This service will be a joint worship with Big Shoulder Church, and we are excited to come together as one community to honor and remember the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples.   - Good Friday worship service on April 07 at Ravenswood Fellowship UMC, located at 4511 N Hermitage Ave Chicago, at 7:00 pm. This worship will be joint worship with United Church of Rogers Park.  This service will be a time of reflection as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his journey to the cross. We believe that this joint worship service will provide a unique opportunity for us to share our faith and connect with other believers in our community. It is a chance for us to come together as one body of Christ and reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that he made for all of us. We will also have time for prayer and reflection, as we contemplate the depth of Jesus' love and the incredible gift of salvation that he offers us. We encourage you to invite others who may be seeking a deeper understanding of the Christian faith to join us for this meaningful service. Let us come together to remember the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, and renew our commitment to following in his footsteps. May God bless you and your loved ones during this Holy Week and always.
