2021 Budget Special Charge Conference
Please join us for a Budget Special Charge Conference with our District Superintendent, Rev. Brittany Isaac following worship service on Sunday, December 20. We will use the same Zoom link as the worship service. The topic for discussion is the 2021 budget for Ravenswood Fellowship UMC. All are welcome to attend.

UMC Bishops call for optimism and hope in 2021
In the 2020 Advent letter released on Dec.15, the bishops urged people of faith to continue to have love, joy, hope and peace, especially during the season of Advent, which is a time of anticipation and longing in the Christian year.
The letter also pointed out that apart from the pandemic, those in the United States - where more than 60 percent of United Methodists reside - had witnessed a season of discontent as the call for racial justice and an end to racism resounded loud and clear. To read the letter click here.
Holiday Church Office Hours During the holiday season, the church office will be closed on Thursday and Friday December 24th and 25th as well as Thursday and Friday December 31st and January 1. Special Budget Church Conference

Obachan's (Japanese Grandma) Daidokoro (Kitchen)

Tofu Salad
1 Tofu - cut in cubes
1 lb. bean sprouts
Watercress (or Spinach, lettuce, etc)
A small box of mushrooms-sliced
3 tomatoes -cut into cubes
Night before-drain tofu in a strainer. Boil together dressing ingredients (see below). On day salad is being served-blanch bean sprouts by pouring hot water over them for a few seconds, followed by cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Layer vegetables in a salad bowl with watercress, spinach, or lettuce placed last. Pour dressing just before serving.
Dressing:
1/2 C. Soy sauce
1/4 C. salad oil
1/4 C. sesame oil
2 T. sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
Grated ginger
