Second Sunday of Easter

Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church

The Weekly Newsletter

   Message from Pastor Mori

Dear RFUMC Family

I am happy to share with you the amazing things that God has done in our post-Easter service this past weekend. Officially over 90 people attended the worship and it was a time of revival and renewal for our church community, and we are so grateful for all the blessings that we received.

The service was truly a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we were reminded of the incredible sacrifice that he made for us on the cross. Through his death and resurrection, we have been given new life and hope, and we are forever grateful for this incredible gift.

The music was absolutely beautiful, thank you to the RFUMC Choir! We lifted our hearts and souls in worship to our Lord. It was a powerful reminder of God's goodness and faithfulness, and it filled us with gratitude for all that he has done for us.

During the service, we also had the joy of witnessing a baby baptism, which was a touching and meaningful moment for all of us. We welcomed our new brother Elijah into our church family with open arms, and we prayed that God would bless them with love, joy, and peace throughout their life.

After the service, we came together for an Easter potluck, which was a time of fellowship and joy. We shared delicious food and stories, and we felt the warmth and love of our church community. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of God's love to bring us together and build us up as a family. Also the Easter egg hunt was very fun and cute, thank you to the Sunday School Team and Cheryl !!

I want to thank God for all the blessings that we received during this post-Easter service. It was a time of revival and renewal, and we are so grateful for all that he has done for us. Let us continue to praise and thank God for the gift of salvation, and let us go forth in the world with the hope and joy of Easter in our hearts.

May God bless you all!

Mori

                               Repair the Harm to Children

Letter from NIC-

As you may know, the Boy Scouts of America recently settled a lawsuit related to accusations of sexual abuse of children. Many churches, including United Methodists, have chartered BSA troops or packs over the years.

We intend that every church will contribute and repair the past harm as quickly as possible. We recommend that the church administrative council discuss their pledgedecision with input from the finance committee and/or the church's Scouting liaisons. All pledges are welcome and meaningful to the healing of victims of sexual abuse. We are grateful for whatever you are able to do to meet this financial challenge.

We ask you to consider your commitment during April and May prayerfully. Our first goal is to receive initial pledges by the start of Annual Conference this June. A church or an individual can make a pledge by using this form here. You may complete your pledge over three years. As you consider your ability and duty, we have provided resources here.
