Message from Pastor Mori Dear RFUMC Family As we celebrate Earth Day and reflect on our responsibility to care for the environment, I am reminded of the words from Psalm 24:1, which says, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." This verse reminds us that God is the creator and owner of everything on this earth, and we are simply stewards entrusted with its care. It is our responsibility to protect and preserve the environment, not only for our own benefit but also for the benefit of future generations. On the Earth Day, we will be hosting a church decluttering project on Saturday, April 22nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Ravenswood Fellowship UMC. We have ordered a dumpster and plan to clean out the church to create a more welcoming and hospitable environment for all who enter. We invite you to join us for this important project. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your work gloves. We also recommend wearing sneakers as we will be moving items and cleaning. As we work together to declutter and clean, we will reflect on our relationship with the environment and our responsibility to care for God's creation. We will pray for wisdom and guidance as we seek to be better stewards of the earth. So come join us on Earth Day as we work to restore our church and care for the environment. Together, we can make a difference and honor God with our actions !! I hope I can see you all. Blessings Mori |
