Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church The Weekly Newsletter    Message from Pastor Mori Dear RFUMC Family  As we approach the joyous occasion of Easter worship on Sunday April 09, (10:30 AM In-person and Zoom) I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you and share some thoughts on this special day.    Easter is a time of hope and renewal, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifice He made for us and the promise of eternal life that Jesus's resurrection represents.    As we gather together to worship and give thanks to God let us also remember those who are struggling or experiencing hardship at this time and offer them our love and support.    In addition to our Easter worship service, we will also be hosting an Easter egg hunt at the Japanese Garden (April 09, Noon) for our community neighbors. This is always so much fun and exciting event, and a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about the joy of Easter and the importance of community. I encourage all families to participate and invite friends and neighbors to join as well. Also We are delighted to invite you to our Annual Easter Potluck celebration which will take place on April 09, following the Easter service at the gym. This is an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the joyous occasion  of Easter, and what better way to do that than sharing a meal with our friends and family.  We kindly invite you to bring your favorite dish to share with everyone !!  As we prepare for the Easter, let us remember the words of Romans 6:4  "4Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." (NRSV)    This is time of us to renew our commitment to living a life of faith and service and to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.  And let us give thanks for the blessings in our lives and share the love of Christ with others.    May God bless you and your families this Easter season and my our Easter worship service be a time of joy, hope and deep spiritual renewal.    2023 Easter, Pastor Mori.   Give on PayPal   Community Info & Link                                                   Join us for an exciting Easter Egg Hunt on April 09 Sunday at noon at the RFUMC Japanese Garden! This is a fun-filled event for the whole family, and we welcome everyone from our community to participate. Come and explore the beautiful Japanese Garden while searching for colorful Easter eggs filled with treats and surprises!!!  If you have any questions please feel free to contact Sunday School team, and Pastor Mori at rfumcpastormori@gmail.com.                       Don't miss our Easter luncheon following Easter worship service on Sunday April 9.  Bring yourself and bring your favorite dish to share, if you are able.  The Easter luncheon is a fun, relaxed way to celebrate the Easter holiday with friends and family.  All are invited and welcome.  We hope to see you there.  The luncheon will take place in the gym directly following worship service.                Join us for Dumpster Day! We need your help to clean out our building and create a more welcoming environment for all. Let's work together to make our space a place of hospitality and warmth. Every hand counts, so don't miss this opportunity to make a difference. We are excited to provide you with a chance to meet the Northside Co-op leaders, learn from them, and become a part of our community. This is a great opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and network with like-minded individuals. Lunch will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm! We can't wait to see you there!
